Many people had Watford down for relegation this season, but Marco Silva’s side are made of stronger stuff as they blitzed Bournemouth in a 2-0 win on the south coast.
The Hornets have had a good start to the season by picking up four points so far in two difficult fixtures. Their 3-3 draw against Liverpool on the opening day of the season surprised many. However a win in just their second game has meant, pundits and opposition fans alike are having to take the team in yellow and black a bit more seriously.
In a game which saw both teams struggle to create a lot, it was two second-half goals by Richarlison de Andrade and Etienne Capoue that got the away win for Watford.
It was in the 73rd minute when Brazilian born Richarlison scored the opening goal. Watford then made sure of the win 13 minutes later when Capoue scored a stunning effort from long range.
Watford have their first three points of the season and a first league win since the start of April. The positive mood of the Hornets cannot be matched by the south coast club as they have yet to win a game this season or score a goal.
